Our Competition Animal Drug Testing Laboratory Accreditation Program covers a wide variety of screening and confirmatory methodologies for the detection and identification of prohibited substances and their metabolites (and derivatives thereof) under state or regulatory authorities.
The sample collection and laboratory analyses include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Matrices of animal fluids, tissue, and other biological materials
- Associated pharmaceutical preparations and paraphernalia
Applications for accreditation may be made for one or more specific testing technologies, matrices, and substances. This program is designed to meet the requirements of the Association of Official Racing Chemists (AORC).
A major objective of this program is to provide an effective way for individuals and organizations to evaluate and recognize qualified laboratories. Ôur laboratory assessments are thorough, balanced, and integrated, reflecting our coordination of individual and industry requirements.
We work with government and non-government users as well as racing and gaming authorities, associations, and commissions to realize this objective.
